CNC Milling
Omegaverse boasts a comprehensive array of high-quality CNC milling and machining equipment.
3-Axis Milling:
In three-axis milling, the rapidly rotating cutter is fixed in a head that can only move in the X and Y directions (plane) and the Z direction (height). This technique is ideal for flat work, such as contour milling, milling interiors, and creating simple 3D shapes in various substrate.
5-Axis Milling:
In five-axis milling, the milling head can rotate in two additional directions, allowing the cutter to remain as perpendicular as possible to the surface being milled, even if it is highly curved. This optimizes the steps between successive milling paths, resulting in an exceptionally smooth surface. If the milling tool and design permits, even undercuts can be achieved. We use this advanced technique for milling complex 3D shapes, with capabilities extending up to 18 meters in length.
Our successful projects have resulted in accuracies of 0.2-0.3mm on large scale plugs and tooling.
