Pattern Manufacturing
Omega specializes in the manufacturing of pattern tooling (Also known as plugs) for various industries, marine, automotive, aeronautical, space exploration as examples.
These plugs range from high performance kayaks to 50ft Mono-hulls and everything in-between. These plugs are used to produce production moulds for the various industries.
All we require is the A-Surface of the component (preferably with the relevant demoulding flanges) to create a tooling system that will be practical for its application.
The tooling system consists of: a steel base frame (for structural integrity and transportation); EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) blocks as the core material; an epoxy laminate; and lastly, a special composite paste to produce the necessary moulding surface
